We are very excited to announce that from today we are now accepting Cyclescheme certificates. This new partnership will help give thousands of cyclists a much greater choice when using the cycle to work scheme.
For those that don’t know Cyclescheme is a very popular cycle to work scheme that takes advantage of unique tax breaks to give a discounted bike and the chance to ‘hire’ the bike off your employer for 12 months. It’s very similar to our Ride2Work scheme. Over the past year or so there have been some changes to the scheme by the HMRC (the tax man) which has caused some confusion to the scheme. The decision for Evans Cycles to start accepting these vouchers was at heart done to make life easier on the greater UK cycling community and make it easy for people to redeem their vouchers anywhere and ultimately get more bums on saddles!
By accepting Cyclescheme vouchers we have opened up a fantastic range of products and service via 43 nationwide stores that was previously unavailable. Furthermore, all Cyclescheme certificates can be redeemed against sale items so you get even more of a discount. Our head of Ride to Work, Mark Brown had this to say about the new partnership:
