Which parts do you go through the most?
Cables and grips, go through a cable once a month I reckon.

Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
It’s a bit of everything really, maybe a bit too park for the street boys out there, but  it’s gotta roll fast and the brakes gotta be dialled in, other than that I like to keep it clean and simple.

Favourite part of your bike?
Couldn’t pick one part above the rest, I love the my Renthal chainring, I ride motorbikes so nice having that iconic look on my BMX, then as you probably guessed from the amount of kit I run, I am a big Éclat fan! I have only just set up the bars and forks and they look and ride so good, the bars are spot on for me, having ridden the WTP Lockstock bar for years (Ashley Charles last signature bar) it was really the only choice when setting up a new front end.

What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
Brake, either it works or ill get annoyed and drive home! I did the brakeless thing years ago, and I’m not saying this to try and be cool, but seriously it doesn’t suit me, so now it’s gotta be all or nothing!

First “real” BMX bike?
Raleigh Burner baby!! I didn’t know it at the time but that was a cool bike. My first proper BMX though was a shiny chrome GT Performer, it was when GT had a curved top tube and everyone would think they were funny by telling me my frame was bent…..you weren’t!

How important is it to you that your bike looks good?
I’d like to play this cool and say I don’t care but…..hell yeah, I take pride in my bikes and I love how this looks right now, when I look at my bike it makes me want to ride! I’m a bit more patient with getting it how I like now, when I was younger id buy whatever I could afford then just get out the spray paint, now with my job I know when things are coming in real early so il play the waiting game and get it right first time.

How important is weight to you? Do you know how much your bike weighs?
I think most BMXers went through the weight thing, it was the first thing someone would check when seeing your bike for the first time. Now I’m not so fussed, yeah I do have a fairly light bike, but it’s not what I look for when choosing new parts anymore. Too many companies went crazy on the weight thing, but I think everyone’s starting to see you really don’t need to.
