Well, what a busy week it has been for us!

We have had some great responses and winners to our first ever Twitter competition, we all particularly liked Tuesday’s winning tweeter – who walked away with some nice Gore and Endura gear. Thanks to everyone who entered and we loved reading your responses, especially because so many of them echo the reasons we all ride – freedom, fun, and a general awesome sense of wellbeing. Oh and for some, even the taste of bugs apparently! Across the U.K. plenty of customers walked away with some nice goody bags, and our Facebook fans sorted themselves out with some nice bits too. So overall we are happy that everyone got a little something and stay tuned for lots more nice little offers.

In other news, our Dave is now famous in the BMX world, our friends visiting from Redeye enjoyed pressing the ‘little red button of joy’ on the ever popular Gocycle, and our Retail Director Mark Smith came to the rescue of Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton. Faced with the prospect of leading the All Parliamentary Cycling Group Ride on a brand new and unbroken in Brooks saddle, Mark being a kind soul whizzed to the nearby Victoria store and got her something¬† a little more comfy to ride on.

On the product news front, Matt is getting excited about getting his hands on the new SRAM XX groupset to test for us here on the blog, Terri- Anne is debating the pro’s and con’s of neck braces, and our friends at Charge have some very nice special bits for us coming soon. More on that later. In the meantime, we are all sporting lovely new Surface Clothing hoodies, and Balint plans to do a write up on the range soon.

For everyone doing the London to Brighton bike ride on Sunday, we wish you the very best of luck, fingers crossed the weather is nice and don’t forget our Clapham store is open at 5am for FREE brake and gear checks (good weather permitting!). Do drop by and see them if you are cycling up the High Street in the morning for any last minute checks, and good luck!

Similarly, if you are riding at Mountain Mayhem, good luck and say Hi to Dean and the team if you see them!

Have a great weekend everyone!

'Thanks for the saddle Mark!' says Victoria Pendleton
