Following the earlier success, Evans Cycles mechanics will be back again on one of London’s busiest commuter routes to offer free bike check-ups on Thursday 27th June.

In the past decade London has seen a 155% increase in commuters choosing to cycle to work. However, as many of us know, this is often no easy feat. With hazardous cars, busses and pedestrians a challenge enough, commuting in London is even more risky if your bike is in bad condition. In order to make your journey safer, Evans Cycles will be running its second Pit Stop event in London.

Our expert mechanics will be returning to Kennington Park Road, just in front of the tube station, on Thursday the 27th June to offer a free bike check and advise on any necessary bike maintenance. From 7:00am until 10:00am, every cyclist can stop by our stand and get a free assessment.

Transport for London and the Metropolitan Police Service Cycle Task Force will join us on the day to register and mark your bike for free. By registering your bike the police can identify and verify the legitimate owner of your bike if it is stolen.

As well as this, our partner Muc-Off will provide commuters with a free clean and lube to ensure the bike runs smoothly. There will also be a competition with our partner Hiplok; giving you the chance to win a wearable chain lock ideal for commuters. If all this isn’t enough to tempt you, we will also be handing out free goody bags.

Don’t miss out! Leave a little earlier and make the most of our free Pit Stop. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
