We have been developing Pinnacle bikes since 2006, designed in-house to meet the demands of British riders, drawing on your feedback, and our knowledge and experiences to tailor the range for our customers’ needs.
It’s been a few years since we last produced kids bikes and the brand has experienced somewhat of an overhaul with our new head designer James Olsen coming onboard little over 18 months ago. James and the bike team have listened to your feedback and worked hard to produce quality bikes that look as good as they ride.
The new breed of kids bikes are no different, having being designed from the bottom up around your child’s unique needs. The range consists of three wheel size options, the 16” Koto, 20” Ash, and 24” Aspen. The bikes are light-weight and simple for reliable all-round use and maximum fun.
Quality butted aluminium frames help keep the weight low, and the rigid forks are lighter (thin, butted Cr-mo) and let us create better fitting bikes, firstly with the bottom bracket as low as possible and up front a more relaxed fork angle and higher handlebars mean there’s less weight on the hands and give a more confident steering feel.
Our children’s bikes feature specifically chosen components such as twin chain-plates to avoid derailed chains and parents with greasy-hands, rear-only gears keep it simpler for learning the basics – we also use trigger shifters since feedback said that twist-grips are just too stiff for small hands, and scaled brake levers matched to midi-v brakes for a powerful brake action.
The bikes are finished off with the choice of two eye-catching colour options, there is a gloss white with colour flash scheme, and matt effect two-colour contrast; avoiding the stereotypical girl’s and boy’s colours for a fun gender neutral style.
