How to fix your bike!

Have you ever wanted to know how to true a wheel? How you adjust your gears to make them shift more smoothly? How to fix a puncture?

Well, we all have at some stage, so this is why we have put together a series of ‘How to’ video’s on the new Evans Cycles YouTube channel that show you all aspects of how to look after your bike. We also show you How to check your bike before you ride, and the most common things to look out for when choosing a bike, and even how to set up a bike when it arrives by mailorder!

We think providing video content is the way forward, so we plan on doing much more in the way of guides and production relation information and reviews, so any feedback on what you want to see more or less of is appreciated!

It is worth pointing out that some bike maintenance does require specialist tools, and we have tried to provide a balance here, and not be too technical. But if after watching the videos you still feel that the job is too complicated, give your local Evans store a call and they will be able to book your bike in where our cytech qualified mechanics will be able to sort you out. (Cytech is the cycle industry training and accreditation scheme for mechanics and technicians.)

Competition Time!

In celebration of the launch of our YouTube Channel we have an exciting competition! We have got together with our friends at Park Tool and Muc-Off to give you a chance to kick start your bike maintenance career! (warning: it can be quite addictive)
