If you have ever tried mountain biking at night you know what a thrill it is. The feeling of isolation and adventure really gets the adrenalin going. The tamest of trails keep you on your toes and the rustle of the trees send your imagination wild.
We’ve been running Night Ride’s at some of our winter Ride It! events for the last couple of years and they’ve been a great hit – especially with people that haven’t experienced night riding before and want to give it a go in a safe environment.
This winter, night riding returns to the RideIt! events at Cliddesden on 13th November, Dorking on 4th December and Chieveley on 15th January and if you have always wanted to give it a go but getting spooked out in the woods alone doesn’t appeal, fear not, there is a group ride planned at all of the events.
Open to everyone, any fitness and any skill level the group will depart from the event centre at 3:45pm and will be accompanied by Mark and Keith from the RideIt! team to lead the way, assist riders and ensure that nobody gets left behind. Reflective arrows will guide you around the 12-15 miles route and you should be back at the event centre by 7pm at the latest.
Of course the group ride is purely an option! The route will be fully way marked with reflective arrows and riders are free to head off on their own or in their own groups as well.
If you don’t have the right lights there is a range from Exposure available for demo at the events, there is even a couple of the 1,800 lumen Six Pack’s so get in quick! Don’t forget to take a rear light as well for safety on the short road sections linking up the trails. You will find details of the full demo light range available and how to book on the event pages.
With the usual choice of day light rides and all that you have come to expect from RideIt! events these are set to be fantastic days and nights out in the saddle.

See you there!
