Sports action cameras give us the opportunity to bring our rides back to life once they’re over. Uploading rides to analytics sites like Garmin Connect or Strava is one thing, but an all singing, all dancing video capture from a Go Pro or similar device is a lot more like relieving the moment. No longer do we have to employ all the adjectives in the English dictionary to explain how awesome/fast/hilly/beautiful the weekend’s ride was to our friends – we can catch it all on film and upload it for the world to see.

Cameras on the market

There are a great many options available when it comes to buying a camera of your own. We love to test the products we sell, so we reviewed the Go Pro3, Contour and Vs Veho cameras side by side here, if you’re after an indepth comparison of what’s out there. For data geeks, the Garmin Virb is an excellent option as your speed, heart rate and location can all be overlayed with the footage.

Some inspiration from Evans Cycles

Here at Evans Cycles towers we love to capture our rides, and we all enjoy watching them back. We’ve collected a selection of footage from around Evans Cycles towers – here’s a look at some of the rides we’ve been up to…
