The newest GPS computer from market leaders Garmin is now available to order.
The Garmin Edge 1000 is the youngest but most advanced computer in the Edge line up.
Following the 500 and 800, this Edge has taken the range into a new bracket, and the new GPS pairs with Garmin Connect to give you warning of segments and automatically updates your position on the Connect leaderboard.
Every ride can be a race with this new technology, and you’ll get both a countdown to segments of your choice, and an automatic notice telling you when you’ve completed the distance.
Of course, live tracking and wireless uploads are part of the package, and the Garmin 1000 offers advanced performance analysis with speed, distance, power, cadence and other metrics displayed.
Not only does the Garmin 1000 open the door to this new realm of competition, you’ll also be able to keep in touch whilst on your ride.
Connected features mean you can link your Garmin to a smartphone, allowing you to see incoming calls, text alerts and social media alerts, so you can assess which ones are worth stopping over without rummaging for your phone.
Ever keeping the rider in mind, Garmin have ensured the display is optimized for practicality, with a robust, dual-orientation display that works with gloved hands, and in the rain.
Preloaded Garmin Cycle Maps and round-trip routing will enable you to explore more, on and off road, safe in the knowledge that the maps are up to date. And of course, this forward thinking device is compatible with Di2 electronic shifting systems, when used with Shimano D-Fly Data Management function.
