The half option is a challenging but enjoyable ride if you don’t fancy the full 113 miles, covering 56 miles with 4,800 feet of climbing. Taking you round the Western loop of the route and through the scenic countryside, over the Surrey Hills and North Downs, including Box Hill and the iconic switch-backs – a key part of the 2012 Olympic Road Race circuit where champions will prosper.
We got out on the Western loop a couple of weeks ago and put together a short video to give you a glimpse of the scenic route. Check it out here.
If you’re up for taking on what is one of the toughest super sportives in the South then the prospect of the full distance 113 mile challenge with 9,000 feet of climbing is sure to put your strength and endurance to the test! After completing the Western loop with the half sportivers, the full distance super sportive route then takes you onto the Eastern loop and into the Ashdown forest before tracking up to the North Downs. It’s here that you’ll tackle two of the toughest hill climbs including the famous Yorks Hill amidst the total 4,200 feet of climbing amidst the Eastern loops 57 miles.
