Got to say – was pretty chuffed to get the best time in the Medium MTB – especially as I also did the Medium Sportive on the Sunday. Anyone else do both? (And 52 y.o. to boot. . !)
Good choice of tracks and beautifully quiet lanes for the Sportive. Many thanks to Evans employees and friends – I know organising these means people giving up evenings and weekends. We’ll be back!
A big thank you to the 3 chaps who stayed with after my spectacular crash. We sent the bloke doing the 90 miler on his way, as he had a long way to go ! the other 2 made sure I was comfortable and called for help. Thanks to Keith from Evans cycles for getting me to the Royal Surrey hospital. I got home on Tue night, following a broken collarbone, fractured scapula, 4 broken ribs and a punctured lung ! And a very broken helmet ! The moral is, don’t open a gel going fast downhill, particularly when there is a massive unmarked hump !! Just very unlucky.
My first Evans event too. I’ll be back though
Cheers, Finchie
Hi Chris.
Well done, and thanks for the thanks, always nice to be appreciated.
Mark!
Wow, that’s a lot of damage seeing as you sat in the chair sunbathing until we could take you to hospital!!! We all wish you the best and hope to see you at an event soon.
Cheers
Dean
