We’ve been out preparing the course for Sunday’s road sportive at Liphook today.
This is our second visit to Liphook after the British Gas charity ride last weekend, the general consensus from riders last weekend was it’s hillier than most expected and whilst the course for this weekend is completely different I think “hillier than expected” is probably a fair description of this weekends route as well. There’s no major hills that really stand out (except for one steep one on the medium route that seems to get steeper near the top ( and the climb up) but lots of rolling coutryside so you always seem to be either going up or down.
The roads seem to be in fairly good condition although we do use some small country lanes so there are a couple of rough sections to look out for, there’s also rain forecast for tomorrow so conditions may change by Sunday.
GPX downloads for the route should be posted by tomorrow evening.
