The RideIt! Cycle Show is just a week away! On Saturday 19th March a huge range of the cycling industry’s leading brands will have a bumper range of 2011 bikes, clothing and accessories available to try out on the Redbridge Cycling Centre’s fantastic all weather purpose built road circuits and off-road trails.
We’ll be posting details about the demo bike models and gear that will be available to try on the day early next week but for now, here’s what else you can expect at the show!
The RideIt! team have planned a full Sportive with the usual distances 30, 60 & 90 miles and a 10 mile family & friends fun ride so if you haven’t quite got back into the swing of things yet after a winter hibernation, or you want to share the experience with your family and friends, there’s a ride for you whatever your current level of experience and fitness!
A sneaky peak of the medium (60 mile) route is available on Trailzilla.com, riders can look forward to over 55 miles of open countryside roads, not bad for a route which starts within the M25 and we’ve been out for a reccie and are very happy to confirm that the roads are in pretty good shape. Plus a final blast around the purpose built track will make for an exciting finish!
What’s tougher, 90 minutes on a football pitch or a stage of the Tour De France? The inspirational Geoff Thomas, former England footballer and cycling fundraising champion will be answering your questions and signing autographs at 2pm on Saturday afternoon. If you’ve already got your ticket and want to book your place at Geoff’s presentation please email email@example.com as space will be limited.
Throughout the day, the MAD LAND ROVER Team will be displaying their awesome riding tricks and skills. A MAD demo is totally unique, the riders are the best in their sport, they perform death defying leaps, jumps, hops and balancing skills, using just there bikes (with no engines!). The guys display their honed talents demonstrating a mind boggling level of control, skill, balance and breathe-taking tricks. All of this is performed on M.A.D’s custom made Land Rover demo vehicles and equipment.
Tickets start from just £1 for show only entry – online bookings will remain open until Wednesday.
It’s lining up to be a cracking day! See you there!
